From Concept to Scalable Mobile Experience

To gain a comprehensive understanding of Dropsy's business concept and unique selling proposition, we conducted a week-long workshop before beginning development. This enabled us to perform technical research, identify the best technologies, and select the appropriate team composition for the project.


Additionally, we proposed an MVP that included key features and could be released within two months.



We recommended using React Native for app development for the following reasons:


  • Faster time-to-market: Over 95% of the code is multi-platform between iOS and Android.
  • Great performance: React Native apps have nearly the same performance as native apps.
  • Scalability: Dropsy had a lot of innovative ideas for the future, and it is easier and more efficient to implement changes in one app.
  • Cost savings: Only one team was required to create both versions of the app.

Throughout the project, we focused on maintaining the app's scalability and long-term maintainability, ensuring it would be easy to enhance and update in the future.

Driving user engagement with custom notifications

The Dropsy mobile app's most crucial feature for driving user engagement is a highly customizable and diverse system of push notifications.


  • Customizable Notifications: Users can choose which information they want to receive, ensuring the notifications are always relevant and personalized.
  • Encouraging Exploration: Notifications encourage users to explore the app and view specific content, enhancing user interaction.
  • Instant Actions: Notifications can prompt users to immediately open a specific screen or scroll to a particular item on the list.


To achieve this, we integrated OneSignal push notification software with the app, providing a robust and scalable solution for user engagement.
